Gerard Barron
Chief Executive Officer
Gerard Barron is one of the founders of Adstream and has been
CEO of Adstream Holdings since 2002. After overseeing the launch in
the home market of Australia, he moved to live permanently in
London from August 2002.
Gerard's prime focus is around Strategy and Key Clients,
ensuring that the high organic growth of the company continues and
the service & value Adstream delivers to clients help them run
their businesses more efficiently and effectively.
Gerard started his first company while still at university and
has now led 20 years of successful entrepreneurial activities
within varied industries such as publishing, automotive component
manufacturing (with plants in China) and Telecommunications with a
national wholesale and retail chain in Australia, successfully sold
in 1999 to Singtel. Since then Gerard has been an active investor
in innovative business ventures in the mining and technology
sector.
Gerard has led the impressive growth of Adstream through strong
geographical expansion across Europe, USA, Latin America and Asia
as well as several acquisitions of complementary business
enterprises, growing its presence from one to 25 offices around the
world in less than 10 years.
Gerard has a Bachelor Degree of Business at the University of
Southern Queensland and lives in Richmond with his family.
Apart from Adstream, Gerard discovered the adventures of cycling
and is now a dedicated devotee of lycra - and a proud owner of a
bike that, goes the legend, was made by Ernesto Colnago for His
Holiness, Pope John Paul II.
